Golf cart tipped in Pinehurst crash

A crash involving a golf cart sent emergency crews to the entrance of Pinehurst Country Club Monday night.

The collision happened shortly after 9 p.m. at the small traffic circle near the club entrance, where a Toyota sedan struck the golf cart, tipping it onto its side. Fortunately, according to officials, no one was seriously injured in the incident. One person from the golf cart was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

Authorities have not released further details about the crash or whether any charges are expected.
