A female crashed into the security fence surrounding the Southern Pines airport after reportedly suffering a seizure.

First responders were dispatched to the scene just after 5:30 on Wednesday evening.

A witness said the driver appeared to lose consciousness while driving through the traffic circle. The vehicle crossed the median, and went down an embankment before stopping against the fencing.

The witness reported the driver did regain consciousness before emergency crews arrived.

Moore County paramedics evaluated the driver at the scene, and was not transported to the hospital.

No other vehicles were involved. There did not appear to be any damage to the airport security fence.
