A tree that fell onto a power line along Priest Hill Road in Carthage has left more than 100 Central Electric customers without electricity Sunday afternoon.
According to Central Electric’s outage map, 114 customers in the area are currently without service. Officials say it will take at least two hours to complete repairs and restore power.

With extreme heat expected throughout the afternoon, residents without electricity are encouraged to seek shelter at a friend’s or family member’s home until service is restored.
