Just Moore Jeeps set out to double the amount raised during last year’s annual Show-N-Shine fundraiser. Instead, the local Jeep enthusiast group more than quadrupled it.
On Friday, Just Moore Jeeps presented Changing Destinies Ministry with a check for $16,329.13, representing money raised during the group’s Sept. 26 Show-N-Shine in Pinehurst.
The event brought Jeep owners and community members together at the park across from Pinehurst Brewing Company for a car show, fundraising activities and silent auction. Proceeds were designated for Changing Destinies Ministry and its Rachel’s Refuge residential program for women who have survived sex trafficking.
Just Moore Jeeps had set an $8,000 fundraising goal for this year’s event, twice the approximately $4,000 raised during its 2025 Show-N-Shine.
The final total more than doubled that goal.

Changing Destinies Ministry did not know how much had been raised until Just Moore Jeeps presented the check Friday, according to the group.
For the presentation, group members returned to Whispering Pies, where they said they first met Changing Destinies Ministry Executive Director Renee Cassidy and learned about the organization’s work.
Changing Destinies Ministry operates Rachel’s Refuge, a Christ-centered residential program designed to help women who have survived sex trafficking work toward healing and independent living. The program can last up to two years and includes shelter, care, education and other support services.
“Every survivor deserves the opportunity to know that their story does not end with what happened to them,” Kim Lyons, communications director for Changing Destinies Ministry, said ahead of the fundraiser.
Just Moore Jeeps credited donors, sponsors, volunteers and community members who attended the Show-N-Shine with helping push the fundraiser well beyond its original goal.
“We didn’t just meet our goal… WE BLEW IT OUT OF THE PARK!” the group wrote in announcing the final total on Facebook.
Just Moore Jeeps was founded around two goals: having fun with Jeeps and giving back to the community. The group participates in charitable events throughout the year, including parades and fundraising drives.
Last year’s Show-N-Shine drew more than 200 people and raised more than $4,000 for Clara McLean House, which provides accommodations for patients and family members traveling to the area for medical care.
The successful fundraiser continues Just Moore Jeeps’ tradition of turning its shared enthusiasm for Jeeps into support for organizations serving the Moore County community.
