Early morning fire heavily damages Pinehurst home

Published on

Fire crews were called to a house fire in Pinehurst early Wednesday morning.

The call came in around 7 a.m. for a home at 56 Juniper Creek Boulevard. When the first firefighters arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from the structure.

Pinehurst Fire Department officials said it took less than 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. No one was home at the time, and there were no pets inside.

Investigators believe the fire started in the back of the house. Part of the roof collapsed during the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
