A Chevy pick-up truck crashed into Whispering Pies Pizzeria, causing significant damage to the front door. The incident happened Saturday just before 9:30 p.m.

Authorities say the Chevy was parked in front of the restaurant and that the driver reported an issue with the gear shifter.

The restaurant had just closed for the night, so no customers were inside at the time of the collision and no one was injured.

Employees were working right after the crash to clean the area and board up the hole left to the front of the building. On Sunday, the restaurant announced on Facebook that it would temporarily close until repairs were completed.
