Son stabs father in Southern Pines, father airlifted

A man was airlifted after allegedly being stabbed by his son in Southern Pines on Sunday, according to Southern Pines Police Department.

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. in Cypress Circle off of Saunders Boulevard.

SPPD Deputy Chief Charles Campbell told Moore County News the son stabbed the father, and left the scene. The father was taken by ambulance to a landing zone to be airlifted to a trauma center. His condition was not released.
