2 vehicles damaged in fire at West End auto body shop

Published on

An early morning fire at Ken’s Auto Shop caused damage to two vehicles that were in the shop for repairs.

Firefighters arrived at the shop on Doubs Chapel Road before 6:30 a.m. to heavy smoke and some flames showing in a building in the back of the property. Multiple fire departments worked together to put out the blaze within 45 minutes of arriving on scene.

The shop and two vehicles that were parked in the shop overnight were heavily damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Moore County News was told it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.

Eastwood, Carthage, Southern Pines, Pinehurst, West End and Seven Lakes all had fire units respond to the scene.
