Three adults were injured Thursday evening when the golf cart they were riding flipped along Longleaf Drive near Owens Circle in the Seven Lakes West community.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Troopers investigating the incident say the golf cart was traveling downhill when the driver lost control, causing the cart to overturn and land upside down. Speed was likely a factor, according to Troopers.

First responders said at least two of the occupants were pinned beneath the overturned cart. Both were airlifted to the hospital from a landing zone set up at the Seven Lakes Fire Station.
As a result, Seven Lakes Drive was temporarily closed near the fire station to allow two medical helicopters to land. Longleaf Drive was also shut down for a period while emergency crews worked to free the victims and clear the scene.
The third occupant of the golf cart was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The extent of the injuries has not been released.
